Through innovation and community engagement, we work towards health equity

Our Mission

The Sarkar Lab is an innovative, collaborative, and mission-driven research group that studies improving the health of vulnerable populations. We focus on health technology for the people, committed to improving the health and safety of the underserved through cutting edge research, scientific thinking and technological innovation to achieve health equity. Using implementation science methods, we study digital health, patient safety, and social media to improve health communication and clinical care.

Our unique partnerships with UCSF, the Center for Vulnerable Populations, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital uniquely position us to reduce chronic disease and advance health equity for all. Explore our website to learn more!
