We are passionate about achieving health equity through innovation and community engagement.

The IgNITE (Investigating Novel Interventions using Technology to advance Equity) Lab is an innovative, collaborative, and mission-driven research group dedicated to improving health equity. We are committed to improving the health and safety of the underserved through cutting edge research, scientific thinking, and technological innovation. Using implementation science methods, we study digital health, patient safety, and social media to improve health communication and clinical care. We also examine cancer survivorship, chronic diseases, and resiliency and equity in medicine, to improve care for patients and enhance the well-being of physicians.   

Our unique partnerships with UCSF, the Center for Vulnerable Populations, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital uniquely position us to reduce chronic disease and advance health equity for all. Explore our website to learn more!
